I joined the LJELP family in 2019 and have been in the childcare industry for almost seven years. I have my bachelor’s degree in teaching and I love working with children and embracing cultural diversity. I’ve been teaching in the Philippines and Singapore before moving to Australia to continue my journey of learning and understanding different pedagogical practices in early childhood. I believe that children need the assurance of being loved, cared for, and respected regardless of where they come from.

I love working at Lake Joondalup because every day I get to learn new things, whether it be from the children, the families, or my colleagues. The work environment feels like home and the support that we get is exceptional

Hi, my name is Vanessa and I’ve been working in the children’s education
and care sector for 5 years now. I have been at Lake Joondalup ELP for over 4 years.
One of the things I love most about being an educator is seeing the children learn
and discover more about themselves, others and the world around them. It is a privilege to be a part of their lives, watching them make friendships, develop new skills and discover who they are.

I am a mother of 3 and I have been working with children for the last 10 years; Both
in England and in Perth.
I qualified as a Teaching Aid in the U.K before moving to Perth to study my diploma in children’s services. I love working with children and watching them grow and learn. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work with your wonderful children and be part of their learning journey.

Hi my name is Allicia
I have worked in the childcare industry for 15 years and have been at Lake
Joondalup for 3 years. I am also a mum myself.
Childcare has been my passion since high school and always knew that was what I wanted to do as a career. I absolutely love my job.
I enjoy being able to watch your children grow and learn. I find it especially rewarding when I am able to witness their reaction when they learn or achieve something new for the first time. Itmakes me happy that I can be a part of that journey.

I love working at Lake Joondalup because it’s such a warm, friendly and welcoming environment. We all work together in sync and have formed close friendships making work life enjoyable. The children and families have played a special part, and I love being able to say I am part of this great team.

My name is Mafunase(Mafu)
I joined the LJELP family in 2019 working part time whilst studying to obtain
my degree in Marketing and international business. Although I have since obtained my degree, I discovered that I have a real passion for working with children and am now working towards a diploma in children’s services. I most enjoy learning about the children’s unique and individual personality traits.
The greatest inspiration I have found from working with children is the endless joy and wonder that they bring to everything they do and I love that I get to begin my childcare career with such a great team of people.

I have been passionate about childcare my whole life, and worked in a voluntary
capacity for many years before getting the opportunity to do a paid traineeship with LJELP in 2020. I see it as an absolute privilege to be such a big part of your children’s development. I love being able to see them grow and helping them every week to become more confident in who they are and what they know.

I love working at Lake Joondalup because it gives me a great opportunity to work alongside amazing colleagues and great families. I also love how working here also provides amazing opportunities for me to be so involved with the community through their various projects and programs.

I love seeing the smiling faces of the children every morning, forming unique relationships with each child and being able to share in the special moments throughout their day.

I am one of the founders and directors of Lake Joondalup ELP.

I have worked in childcare for almost 20 years and I am currently studying child psychology. I have a keen interest in child development; specifically learning how to best support children’s emotional and social wellbeing.

Although I founded Lake Joondalup almost 10 years ago now, I sometimes still get an almost overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment from knowing that my team and I have created such a wonderful service that we get to provide to the community.

Hi I’m Debbie, I’m one of the founders and directors of Lake Joondalup ELP, I’m also
a registered paediatric nurse.

I founded the centre back in 2011,as I wanted to provide a not-for-profit, inclusive childcare service for all children in the community. I’m a mum of three children; one of whom has a diagnosis of autism, I’m extremely passionate about child development and inclusion.
